About Owl to Lord Salazar Slytherin: My Lord Slytherin, Good day,…

Previous Entry Feb. 20th, 2004 @ 06:32 pm Next Entry
Owl to Lord Salazar Slytherin:

My Lord Slytherin,

Good day, friend. I hope this finds you well and not suffering needlessly (specifically from boredom, as Lord Gryffindor admits to). It has been many a day since I have seen you, and Jessamine especially has become anxious to see her old pupils together once again. I have invited Godric to join the Hufflepuffs in the valley, and am now extending the invitation to you as well - and I would pray that you accept it.

May your response arrive swiftly,
Sincerely and Honestly,
Lady Helga Hufflepuff

Post-Script: How is your mother, Lady Slytherin, by the way?

Fair Lady Hufflepuff,

I bid you a very fine day (or week, depending upon this owl's speed). Your letter has found me in a mild state of irritation, but nonetheless, such things are trivial when, for once, pleasant news is to be had. I am most inclined to accept your invitation, and I shall. Are there details about the gathering as of yet?

Good tidings to you and yours,
Lord Salazar Slytherin

Lord Slytherin,

The owl was rather fast, actually - or perhaps I misjudge the distance between the valley and your home. I am sorry that my note found you in such a state, and I wish it had found you in a better sense of mood. I pray this one finds you better. I am awaiting a response from Lord Gryffindor to find out when he will take leave and the particulars of his own coming. I believe that whenever you would be able to set out, the better. Jessamine eagerly awaits your arrival, of course. I will be sending a message to Lady Ravenclaw as soon as I've sent this owl off.

Sincerely and Honestly,
Lady Helga Hufflepuff

Fair Lady Hufflepuff,

I am good to see that the bird is reliable. It is a new one, in fact. The other owl has become far too old for long journeys, but that is neither here nor there.

With the information provided in your letter, I believe that I shall take leave of my residence tomorrow. It will give me enough time to settle things with Lady Slytherin and finish up otherwise unended business. I hope this is suitable for you, as well?

Good tidings to you and yours,
Lord Salazar Slytherin

My Lord Slytherin,

Oh! Your leaving tomorrow will be splendid. Jessamine is positively enraptured. She's got the castle in an uproar. I anxiously await your arrival!

Sincerely, Honestly and Loyally,
Lady Helga Hufflepuff
